Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR) is a phenomenon that occurs when light interacts with metal nanoparticles, typically gold or silver, causing their electrons to oscillate in resonance with the light.
These oscillations are highly sensitive to changes in the local environment, such as the presence of biomolecules near the nanoparticle surface. This sensitivity allows our systems to detect tiny changes in refractive index as biomolecules bind to the surface.
No labels or fluorescent tags are needed, and binding events are detected directly, in real time, and with high precision.
