Pioneering Real-Time Bioprocess Monitoring Solutions

ArgusEye was founded as a spin-off from Linköping University, building on more than 40 years of biosensor research. The company’s core technology is based on Localized Surface Plasmon Resonance (LSPR), an advanced optical sensing technique developed through more than 15 years of pioneering research by Dr. Erik Martinsson and his research team. Together with Professor Daniel Aili, Professor Emeritus Ingemar Lundström, Professor Emeritus Carl-Fredrik Mandenius, among others, the founding team established ArgusEye to translate this research into advanced sensing solutions for the biopharmaceutical industry.

Starting out small, the early years focused on developing a strong technical foundation for productionfication of the technology supported. This groundwork paved the way for two successful investment rounds in 2021 and 2024, providing the resources to first capture our first customers and later accelerate growth and product development. 

The year 2024 marked a new phase for ArgusEye. We moved into larger facilities in Ebbepark, Linköping, in January and we launched our first product, AugaOne®, in March. That same year, ArgusEye was named by Ny Teknik as one of Sweden’s most promising young tech companies for the third consecutive year, following recognition in 2022 and 2023. 

Today, a growing team of specialists in biosensors, biochemistry, hardware and software is driving the development of the next generation of sensor technology.
