Overview

Constructed on medical-grade stainless substrates with gold nanoparticles, (AuNPs), the chip is pre-immobilized with recombinant Protein A, with a passivated gold surface to prevent nonspecific binding.

The sensor chip binds specifically towards IgG1, IgG2 and IgG4 subclasses. pH and ionic strength can affect the binding of IgG to the sensor chip Protein A.

The pre-immobilized recombinant Protein A exhibits high affinity and specificity for various IgG subclasses from a broad range of mammalian species. This high-affinity characteristic makes the sensor chip ideal for early in-line detection of product breakthroughs during antibody purification in downstream bioprocesses.
